The Property

Omarama lies at the southern end of the iconic Mackenzie Basin in the South Island of New Zealand. Omarama Lodge is a private and peaceful setting with beautiful grounds featuring mountain river fed trout ponds. The property has been a special place creating great memories for many years with more to come.

The restaurant is a classic restored building which provides both indoor and outdoor dining options. Omarama Lodge comprises 65 acres including the landmark Ladybird Hill atop which sits the Flagpole. The lower slopes of the property’s hills are sheltered and extensively planted in a mixed varietal vineyard which is amongst the highest altitude in New Zealand.
